Memories
Joyce (favorite child)
I would have to share my very last conversation with Dad.  I called home and he was having a bloody nose.  I told him that it wouldn't have happened if he hadn't been picking it.  He didn't lose a beat and replied that it would have been just fine if he hadn't turned his head so quickly.  This memory is as vivid as if it happened yesterday.  What a lucky family we are to have been given Dad's gift of humor!
Donna (Daughter-In-Law)

The thing I think I will never forget is his sweet, gentle spirit. He truly loved the Lord and that love and kindness radiated from him each and everyday.  There are so many memories but the one thing I remember most is when he and Mom visited with us seeing Dad sitting in his "favorite" chair in the morning with a cup of coffee and his Bible open reading his morning devotion. And a funnier thought, The ROOK card games. He would always playfully smack and pinch my hands and say...."Go ahead gourd head".....

Tammie (Daughter)
I remember when I was 8 months pregnant with Keri and we went to the beach.  I think it was Destin Florida.  Dad and I had been wading in the ocean and we both ended up with sun poinson in our legs.  It would take us about 5 minutes to sit down and about 15 minutes to stand up...LOL.  The pain was terrible and we would both be hurting so bad we could cry but was laughing so hard at each other.
